Graphic designer role overview
As an iLevelUP Graphic designer, you will contribute practical expertise to a nonprofit education product in limited beta. Make iLevelUP visual communication clear and consistent. Design interface graphics and marketing assets that help people understand the learning experience.
You will work with the relevant team to agree on priorities, review progress, and document decisions. Because the product is still developing, clear handoffs and useful feedback matter.
What you will own
Your contribution centers on the responsibilities below. First, understand the current work and the needs of your collaborators. Next, agree on a manageable scope with the team lead. Then, share progress and raise blockers early. Finally, document the decisions that your teammates need for the next step.
Graphic designer responsibilities
- Create interface graphics, icons, and visual elements that support a coherent app experience.
- Design approved graphics for social media, newsletters, and other outreach channels.
- Follow the brand standards and keep typography, color, and imagery consistent across assets.
- Work with marketing and design contributors to agree on briefs and review feedback.
- Next, revise designs for their audience, format, and intended use.
- Plan design tasks, share progress, and deliver organized files with clear handoff notes.
Early deliverables
- First, review the current graphic design and visual communication work and identify useful next steps with your team lead.
- Next, agree on an initial deliverable, its review criteria, and the people who need to contribute.
- Finally, complete a reviewable piece of work and document what the next contributor needs to know.
Graphic designer required qualifications
- Graphic design experience and a portfolio that shows visual judgment and creativity.
- Fluency in tools such as Canva, Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign.

- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain quality while meeting agreed deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with a remote team.
- Interest in using design to support Believe in Me’s educational mission.

- Clear examples of organized files and team handoffs can help demonstrate your approach.

Work with Marketing & Outreach through approved project tools. In practice, share concise updates, ask for the context you need, and keep decisions in the agreed workspace. For example, explain what you completed, what needs review, and what is blocking the next step. In addition, protect learner and project information when preparing examples or discussing your work.
