Lead UI/UX Designer Volunteer Role Overview

Believe in Me is seeking a creative and dedicated Volunteer Lead UI/UX Designer to join our team in developing the iLevelUP app. This platform is designed to empower first-generation college students by providing personalized guidance, college search tools, financial aid information, mentorship programs, and more. The Lead UI/UX Designer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the app is intuitive, user-friendly, and impactful for our target audience.

Lead UI/UX Designer Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of intuitive and engaging user interfaces for both web and mobile versions of the iLevelUP app.
  • Collaborate with the project team to understand user needs and translate them into innovative design solutions.
  • Create and iterate on wireframes, user flows, and prototypes to explore and communicate design concepts.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and refine designs.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs and maintain design consistency across the platform.

Lead UI/UX Designer Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and previous projects.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design principles and experience designing for mobile platforms.
