Marketing and Outreach Lead role overview
As an iLevelUP Marketing and Outreach Lead, you will contribute practical expertise to a nonprofit education product in limited beta. Coordinate how iLevelUP reaches educators, families, partners, and supporters. Bring campaign priorities, outreach activities, and accurate messaging into one workable plan.
You will work with the relevant team to agree on priorities, review progress, and document decisions. Because the product is still developing, clear handoffs and useful feedback matter.
What you will own
Your contribution centers on the responsibilities below. First, understand the current work and the needs of your collaborators. Next, agree on a manageable scope with the team lead. Then, share progress and raise blockers early. Finally, document the decisions that your teammates need for the next step.
Marketing and Outreach Lead responsibilities
- Develop an integrated outreach plan with clear audiences, objectives, channels, timelines, owners, and measures of success.
- Coordinate approved campaigns and partnership outreach across content, events, community, and digital channels.
- Maintain message consistency, accurate program information, accessibility, and documented approval workflows.
- Build respectful relationships with community, education, and nonprofit stakeholders without making unauthorized commitments.
- Review aggregate engagement results and feedback to improve outreach quality and resource allocation.
- Maintain outreach records, decisions, and follow-up actions while protecting personal and partner information.
Early deliverables
- First, review the current community outreach and partnerships work and identify useful next steps with your team lead.
- Next, agree on an initial deliverable, its review criteria, and the people who need to contribute.
- Finally, complete a reviewable piece of work and document what the next contributor needs to know.
Marketing and Outreach Lead required qualifications
- Experience leading marketing, communications, community outreach, partnerships, or comparable engagement work.
- Strong planning, prioritization, relationship-building, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to tailor accurate messages for different audiences while preserving a consistent mission and brand voice.
- Working knowledge of campaign measurement, editorial coordination, and stakeholder-management practices.
- Sound judgment regarding consent, privacy, accessibility, representation, and escalation of sensitive issues.
- Ability to lead remote volunteers through clear expectations, documentation, and constructive feedback.

- In addition, examples of clear documentation and remote collaboration are useful to share with your application.
How we work
