Role Summary: iLevelUP, an innovative initiative under Believe in Me, is seeking a talented Volunteer Video Editor to create and edit video content for events, social media, and promotional purposes. In this role, you will ensure that all video content is professionally edited, cohesive, and aligns with the organization’s mission to empower first-generation college students. Your work will be instrumental in telling our story through powerful visual narratives that engage and inspire our audience.

Video Editor Key Responsibilities

• Video Editing: Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, cohesive video content that aligns with the organization’s goals and messaging.
• Content Enhancement: Add music, graphics, dialogues, and effects to create compelling, visually appealing videos for events, social media, and promotional campaigns.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and production teams to understand video specifications, project needs, and ensure the final product aligns with the creative vision.
• Post-Production: Review shooting scripts and raw material, making editing decisions based on continuity, pacing, and overall flow to tell a cohesive story.
• Technical Expertise: Continuously implement new editing technologies and best practices to improve video production efficiency and quality.

Video Editor Qualifications

• Proven experience as a video editor with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of video production techniques, timing, continuity, and visual storytelling.
• Creative mind with the ability to bring sight and sound together to create impactful narratives.
• Ability to work collaboratively with creative teams and meet deadlines.
• Preferred Qualifications
