iLevelUP, a visionary initiative under Believe in Me, is seeking creative and committed Volunteer UX Designers to join our project team dedicated to developing a comprehensive web and mobile platform. This platform aims to support first-generation college students by offering personalized guidance, college search tools, financial aid information, mentorship programs, and more, to assist students in overcoming the challenges of college preparation.

UX Designer Key Responsibilities

  • User Experience Design: Spearhead the creation of intuitive and impactful user experiences for the web and mobile platform, focusing on the needs and behaviors of first-generation college students.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a cross-functional team including web developers, content creators, and project managers to ensure the design aligns with both technical capabilities and project goals.
  • Research and Testing: Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights that inform design decisions. Utilize data to refine and iterate on design concepts to enhance user satisfaction and engagement.
  • Wireframing and Prototyping: Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma, demonstrating functionality and layout.
  • Design System Development: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a design system to ensure consistency across the platform, including the use of color schemes, typography, icons, and component libraries.
