Join us in our mission to make a lasting difference in the lives of these children and young adults. iLevelUP, an innovative initiative under Believe in Me, is seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to help build, customize, and enhance our Salesforce platform. As a key contributor to our technical team, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing Salesforce applications that support our fundraising, grants management, and donor engagement activities. You will collaborate closely with the Salesforce Administrator and cross-functional teams to ensure that the platform supports iLevelUP’s mission of empowering first-generation college students.

Salesforce Developer Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement maintainable Salesforce solutions from approved requirements using configuration before code where appropriate.
  • Develop and test Apex, Lightning components, integrations, and automation within documented architectural boundaries.
  • Apply bulk-safe, idempotent, least-privilege, and secure coding practices to data and integration workflows.
  • Create focused automated tests, deployment metadata, rollback steps, and technical documentation for each change.
  • Participate in code review, validate changes in non-production environments, and resolve defects methodically.
  • Coordinate with administrators and stakeholders while protecting credentials, personal data, and production stability.

Salesforce Developer Qualifications

  • Experience developing on the Salesforce platform with Apex, SOQL, Lightning, Flow, or comparable platform capabilities.
  • Understanding of governor limits, sharing, CRUD and field-level security, transaction behavior, and asynchronous processing.
  • Experience with source control, metadata deployment, automated testing, debugging, and release-management practices.
  • Ability to design integrations with clear authentication, error handling, retry, deduplication, and observability boundaries.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, code-review, and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Commitment to least privilege, privacy, change control, and validation before production activation.
