About iLevelUP
iLevelUP is a free, AI-powered, game-based learning experience being developed by Believe in Me to help young people explore education and career possibilities and build self-confidence. The product is in limited beta. The learner is the main character, and iLevelUP is the guide.
Salesforce Administrator role overview
As an iLevelUP Salesforce Administrator, you will contribute practical expertise to a nonprofit education product in limited beta. Keep Salesforce useful, accurate, and maintainable for the team. Configure workflows, support relationship management, and help colleagues use the platform responsibly.
You will work with the relevant team to agree on priorities, review progress, and document decisions. Because the product is still developing, clear handoffs and useful feedback matter.
What you will own
Your contribution centers on the responsibilities below. First, understand the current work and the needs of your collaborators. Next, agree on a manageable scope with the team lead. Then, share progress and raise blockers early. Finally, document the decisions that your teammates need for the next step.
Salesforce Administrator responsibilities
- Build and maintain Salesforce as a fully functioning grants management and donor engagement platform, including campaign tracking, grant reporting, and revenue management.
- Customize Salesforce to support confidential relationship management with high-net-worth individuals and brand ambassadors, and integrate Salesforce with other systems for telephony, events, and data collection.
- Collaborate with the Marketing & Fundraising teams to segment contacts, create automated email campaigns, and develop strategies for donor engagement.
- Develop and maintain reports to provide data-driven insights into fundraising performance, donation trends, and key fundraising metrics.
- Perform Salesforce administrator functions including system maintenance, backups, security management (roles, profiles, and workflows), and group settings.
- Address user questions, collect feedback, and implement enhancements based on user input and organizational goals. Provide training and documentation for best practices.
- Identify and troubleshoot Salesforce problems, perform quality assurance testing, and implement fixes to optimize system performance.
- Provide detailed documentation on platform updates, including workflow processes, user audit trails, and reporting improvements
Early deliverables
- First, review the current software development and technical support work and identify useful next steps with your team lead.
- Next, agree on an initial deliverable, its review criteria, and the people who need to contribute.
- Finally, complete a reviewable piece of work and document what the next contributor needs to know.
Salesforce Administrator required qualifications
- Salesforce Administrator Certification or Salesforce Application Builder Certification is required.
- Proven experience as a Salesforce Administrator with hands-on configuration and customization expertise (e.g., workflows, process builder, flow).
- Experience with Salesforce NPSP (Nonprofit Success Pack), Grants Management, and campaign management.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in troubleshooting and system optimization.
- Excellent communication and project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Salesforce Administrator helpful experience
- Additional Salesforce certifications, such as Advanced Admin or Developer I, are a plus.
- Experience with Apex, Lightning components, Visualforce, or a willingness to learn and understand these technologies is preferred.

Why volunteer with iLevelUP
- Contribute to a nonprofit education product at a stage when your decisions can shape the learner experience.
- Own a meaningful body of work and collaborate across education, design, engineering, and student support.
- Develop work samples and share approved contributions in your portfolio while respecting project and learner confidentiality.
