Join us in our mission to make a lasting difference in the lives of these children and young adults. iLevelUP, an innovative initiative under Believe in Me, is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Volunteer Grant Researcher to identify, develop, and submit grant opportunities that align with our mission of empowering first-generation college students. In this role, you will be responsible for researching prospective grant funding sources, initiating relationships with funders, and drafting compelling proposals to secure financial support from foundations, corporations, and government entities.

Grant Researcher Key Responsibilities

  • Grant Research: Investigate and identify prospective grant funding opportunities through colleagues, directories, periodicals, and internet research.

Grant Researcher Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or degree candidate in communications, English, writing, or a similar field.
  • Strong research, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to produce accurate and compelling proposals.
  • Proficiency in G-Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Gmail, Google Drive).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents, and ensure accuracy in written correspondence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience working alongside corporate volunteers and community leaders.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development.
  • Knowledge of the grant submission process and familiarity with prospective funding sources.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments to gather necessary information for grant applications.
