Join us in our mission to make a lasting difference in the lives of these children and young adults. iLevelUP, an innovative initiative under Believe in Me, is seeking a talented and passionate Volunteer Interaction Designer to focus on creating intuitive workflows and seamless user interactions for the iLevelUP app. In this role, you will enhance the user experience by designing engaging, interactive elements that make the app more intuitive and user-friendly. Your work will be vital in ensuring that the platform effectively supports first-generation college students.

Interaction Designer Key Responsibilities

  • Interaction Design: Develop and implement interactive elements that create seamless and engaging user workflows for web and mobile platforms.
  • User Flows & Prototyping: Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, and prototypes that deliver intuitive user experiences.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the UI/UX design team and developers to ensure designs are feasible, user-centered, and aligned with project goals.
  • Usability Testing & Research: Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback, and use insights to refine interaction designs for optimal user engagement.
  • Accessibility & Best Practices: Ensure that all designs adhere to accessibility standards and follow best practices, making the app inclusive for all users.
  • Design Reviews: Present your work during design reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure a consistent user experience across the platform.

Interaction Designer Qualifications

  • Proven experience in interaction design, with a strong portfolio showcasing interactive elements for web and mobile platforms.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar software.
  • Knowledge of user-centered design principles and experience conducting usability testing.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus to facilitate collaboration with developers.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a passion for creating inclusive user experiences.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks in a flexible, remote environment.
