In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating donor relationships, overseeing stewardship efforts, and ensuring donors feel connected to our mission of empowering first-generation college students. Your role is essential in driving our fundraising efforts and maintaining a sustainable network of support.

Donor Relations Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Donor Engagement: Build and maintain meaningful relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations. Actively engage with donors through regular communication and personalized outreach.
  • Stewardship & Retention: Develop and implement stewardship plans to retain and grow donor relationships, ensuring all donors are thanked and recognized appropriately.
  • Donor Communications: Create donor-centric communications, including newsletters, reports, and event invitations, to keep donors informed about the impact of their contributions.
  • Campaign Support: Collaborate with the marketing and crowdfunding teams to support fundraising campaigns and special events, aligning donor engagement strategies with overall campaign goals.
  • Data Management: Track and manage donor information using Salesforce or other CRM platforms, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Analyze donor trends and provide reports on donor engagement, retention rates, and fundraising effectiveness to inform future strategies.
  • Event Management: Assist with planning and executing donor events, both in-person and virtual, to strengthen relationships and showcase the impact of iLevelUP’s work.

Donor Relations Manager Qualifications

  • Proven experience in donor relations, fundraising, or customer relationship management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire donors.
  • Ability to use CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) to manage donor information and track interactions.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting first-generation college students.
  • Preferred/Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor cultivation, and stewardship strategies.
  • Familiarity with donor engagement best practices and experience in planning donor-focused events.
