In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating donor relationships, overseeing stewardship efforts, and ensuring donors feel connected to our mission of empowering first-generation college students. Your role is essential in driving our fundraising efforts and maintaining a sustainable network of support.
Donor Relations Manager Key Responsibilities
- Donor Engagement: Build and maintain meaningful relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations. Actively engage with donors through regular communication and personalized outreach.
- Stewardship & Retention: Develop and implement stewardship plans to retain and grow donor relationships, ensuring all donors are thanked and recognized appropriately.
- Donor Communications: Create donor-centric communications, including newsletters, reports, and event invitations, to keep donors informed about the impact of their contributions.
- Campaign Support: Collaborate with the marketing and crowdfunding teams to support fundraising campaigns and special events, aligning donor engagement strategies with overall campaign goals.
- Data Management: Track and manage donor information using Salesforce or other CRM platforms, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Reporting & Analytics: Analyze donor trends and provide reports on donor engagement, retention rates, and fundraising effectiveness to inform future strategies.
- Event Management: Assist with planning and executing donor events, both in-person and virtual, to strengthen relationships and showcase the impact of iLevelUP’s work.
Donor Relations Manager Qualifications
- Proven experience in donor relations, fundraising, or customer relationship management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire donors.
- Ability to use CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) to manage donor information and track interactions.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- A passion for education and a commitment to supporting first-generation college students.
- Preferred/Desired Qualifications
- Experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor cultivation, and stewardship strategies.
