Role Summary: iLevelUP, an innovative initiative under Believe in Me, ​​is seeking a creative and organized Volunteer Content Manager to oversee the creation and management of dynamic and engaging visual animations that enhance the app’s educational content and user experience. As part of the Content Management Team, you will ensure that all visual content is aligned with the organization’s mission to empower first-generation college students.

Content Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain an editorial calendar that aligns content priorities, owners, deadlines, and review stages.
  • Coordinate the drafting, editing, approval, and publication readiness of educational content across channels.
  • Apply consistent voice, style, accessibility, and plain-language standards to content deliverables.
  • Organize approved content assets and document version, source, usage, and retention information.
  • Review performance insights and stakeholder feedback to recommend evidence-based content improvements.
  • Partner with program, design, and technical volunteers while escalating factual, privacy, or compliance concerns.

Content Manager Qualifications

  • Experience managing editorial workflows, content operations, or comparable communications projects.
  • Strong editing, organization, prioritization, and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of content management systems, editorial calendars, and collaborative review tools.
  • Ability to apply accessibility, inclusive-language, attribution, and brand standards.
