Operation iLevelUP

Operation iLevelUP

When systems fall, we rise.

As the future of the U.S. Department of Education hangs in the balance, Operation iLevelUP is stepping in. This nationwide response network, powered by passionate volunteers and driven by smart technology, is working to stabilize, support, and elevate America’s youth from the ground up.

Why We Exist

Millions of students rely on DOE-backed programs every day—from Pell Grants and special education services to Title I school funding and civil rights protections. The proposed elimination of the Department of Education would devastate public education. Operation iLevelUP is here to fill those gaps with rapid, community-powered, tech-enabled support.

Converting Title I into block grants could force 180,000 teacher positions to be cut, affecting about 2.8 million students in low-income communities.

IDEA provides $15 billion annually to support 7.5 million students with disabilities, but without the DOE, these services may be weakened or lost due to reduced oversight and accountability.

The Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights protects students from discrimination; moving it to the DOJ would weaken enforcement and jeopardize student protections.

The Perkins Act provides $1.4B annually to fund CTE programs that train over 14 million students for essential technical careers; cuts threaten workforce readiness.

Federal aid programs like Pell Grants and student loans help millions afford college; without them, access declines, especially for low- and middle-income families.

IDEA provides $15 billion annually to support 7.5 million students with disabilities, but without the DOE, these services may be weakened or lost due to reduced oversight and accountability.

Eliminating TRIO, GEAR UP, and campus-based aid slashes over $1.5B from proven college access programs, endangering support for underprivileged students nationwide.
