As one of the first points of contact with prospective donors and sponsors, you will play a crucial role in engaging, qualifying, and nurturing relationships. Fundraising Development Representative Key Responsibilities
- Inbound Engagement: Respond to and engage with inbound fundraising inquiries, qualifying prospective donors and sponsors for fundraising opportunities.
- Donor Outreach & Expansion: Engage current donors to expand awareness, ask for referrals, and identify new fundraising opportunities.
- Collaboration & Account Development: Work closely with marketing and fundraising teams to develop account intelligence, relationship maps, and identify opportunities for engagement.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Schedule appointments, demos, and follow-up activities for the fundraising executive team.
- Expertise in Sponsorships & Giving: Act as a subject matter expert on corporate sponsorships and planned giving opportunities, communicating these effectively to prospects.
- Phone & Email Communication: Conduct intelligent and engaging conversations over the phone and email with prospects and current donors to deepen relationships and foster donor development.
Fundraising Development Representative Qualifications
- Proven success in fundraising development and experience with fundraising tools such as Salesforce NPSP, UpLead, LinkedIn, Google Data Studio, and Google Suite.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to have meaningful conversations with donors and sponsors.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and requests while meeting production goals.
- Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work across teams and contribute to the overall fundraising strategy.
- Strong sense of urgency and initiative, with the ability to bring new ideas to the organization.
- Passion for education and commitment to supporting first-generation college students.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a distributed team, with a proven track record of collaboration in a remote environment.
- Knowledge of donor engagement best practices and experience managing donor relationships through various tools.
- Experience in corporate sponsorships, planned giving, or similar donor relations fields.
- BA/BS degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
