Fundraising Development Representative role overview
As an iLevelUP Fundraising Development Representative, you will contribute practical expertise to a nonprofit education product in limited beta. Help prospective supporters understand iLevelUP and take the next step. Respond to inquiries, research opportunities, and coordinate thoughtful fundraising outreach.
You will work with the relevant team to agree on priorities, review progress, and document decisions. Because the product is still developing, clear handoffs and useful feedback matter.

Your contribution centers on the responsibilities below. First, understand the current work and the needs of your collaborators. Next, agree on a manageable scope with the team lead. Then, share progress and raise blockers early. Finally, document the decisions that your teammates need for the next step.
Fundraising Development Representative responsibilities
- Respond to and engage with inbound fundraising inquiries, qualifying prospective donors and sponsors for fundraising opportunities.
- Engage current donors to expand awareness, ask for referrals, and identify new fundraising opportunities.
- Work closely with marketing and fundraising teams to develop account intelligence, relationship maps, and identify opportunities for engagement.
- Schedule appointments, demos, and follow-up activities for the fundraising executive team.
- Act as a subject matter expert on corporate sponsorships and planned giving opportunities, communicating these effectively to prospects.
- Conduct intelligent and engaging conversations over the phone and email with prospects and current donors to deepen relationships and support donor development.

- First, review the current fundraising/vc outreach work and identify useful next steps with your team lead.
- Next, agree on an initial deliverable, its review criteria, and the people who need to contribute.
- Finally, complete a reviewable piece of work and document what the next contributor needs to know.
Fundraising Development Representative required qualifications
- Proven success in fundraising development and experience with fundraising tools such as Salesforce NPSP, UpLead, LinkedIn, Google Data Studio, and Google Suite.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to have meaningful conversations with donors and sponsors.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and requests while meeting production goals.
- Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work across teams and contribute to the overall fundraising strategy.
- Strong sense of urgency and initiative, with the ability to bring new ideas to the organization.
- Passion for education and commitment to supporting young learners.
Fundraising Development Representative helpful experience
- Experience working in a distributed team, with a proven track record of collaboration in a remote environment.
- Knowledge of donor engagement best practices and experience managing donor relationships through various tools.
- Experience in corporate sponsorships, planned giving, or similar donor relations fields.
- BA/BS degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
