Join us in our mission to make a lasting difference in the lives of these children and young adults. iLevelUP, an innovative initiative under Believe in Me, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Volunteer Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize our database systems. The DBA will play a key role in maintaining data integrity, ensuring efficient system performance, and supporting the mission of iLevelUP by overseeing databases that help first-generation college students access valuable educational resources.

Database Administrator Key Responsibilities

  • Database Management: Administer, monitor, and maintain database systems, ensuring the integrity, availability, and optimal performance of databases.

Database Administrator Qualifications

  • Experience administering relational or document databases in development, testing, or production environments.
  • Knowledge of backup, restore, access control, monitoring, indexing, and performance-tuning practices.
  • Ability to use change control, least-privilege permissions, and documented rollback procedures.
  • Familiarity with data privacy, retention, encryption, and secure credential-handling principles.
