Role Summary: iLevelUP, an innovative initiative under Believe in Me, is seeking a Volunteer IT & Security professional to oversee the organization’s security infrastructure and ensure compliance with security protocols. In this role, you will implement measures to protect the app and sensitive data from cybersecurity threats, ensuring the system is secure, up-to-date, and functioning efficiently.

IT & Security Key Responsibilities

• Risk & Vulnerability Assessment: Identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities, developing strategies to mitigate them.
• Security Implementation: Design and implement security measures, such as firewalls, data encryption, and intrusion detection systems.
• Compliance & Monitoring: Ensure compliance with industry security standards and protocols, monitoring systems to detect and address potential security breaches.
• System Maintenance: Apply patches, update software, and manage user access to maintain the integrity of the system.
• Team Collaboration: Work with IT and development teams to ensure security measures are integrated into all stages of system development.

IT & Security Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT and cybersecurity, with a focus on implementing and managing security measures.
• Knowledge of firewalls, encryption, and cybersecurity tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage security-related issues proactively.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in network penetration testing and vulnerability mitigation.
• Familiarity with patch management and understanding of firewalls, proxies, and intrusion detection systems.
